In recognition of the stellar role played by NALCO among the public sector undertakings (PSUs) in the Indian economy as well as in the wider socio-economic development, the Navratna Aluminium major NALCO has bagged the coveted Dun & Bradstreet PSU Awards 2019 for its Best Export Performance.
The award was presented by Union Minister of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises Arvind Sawant at the PSU Award ceremony in New Delhi on 24th August 2019. Dun & Bradstreet is one of the leading knowledge providers and engaged in tracking the country’s economic progress through research, publications and awards.
It may be noted that NALCO clocked export earnings of Rs. 4792.71 crore in 2018-19, which is the highest ever since inception, registering a growth of 18 % over the corresponding previous period of 2017-18. Department of Public Enterprises (DPE) has rated NALCO as the 3rd Highest ‘Net Foreign Exchange Earning CPSE’ in the Country.
Indian analysts, market experts and various trade bodies have congratulated Dr. Tapan Kumar Chand, CMD, NALCO for the achievement and bagging the prestigious award.
