The young Bolangir MP, Kalikesh Singh Deo has been making all the right moves and noises. While he staged a dharna recently at the Bolangir block demanding a hike in the minimum support price of paddy, an issue on which the Naveen Patnaik government has been trying to build up a state-wide movement against the Centre, he also made an impassioned speech in the Lok Sabha demanding the constitution of a tribunal to resolve the Mahanadi water sharing dispute between Odisha and Chhattisgarh. Both the issues have helped keep the MP, a scion of Bolangir royal family, in public focus.
