International Management Institute (IMI)- Bhubaneswar inaugurated 7th batch PGDM programme

Bhubaneswar: 14th June 2017: 7th batch of the Post Graduate Diploma in Management commenced at International Management Institute (IMI), Bhubaneswar. The inauguration ceremony was held at the campus of IMI Bhubaneswar in the august presence of Prof. Ramesh Behl, Director, IMI Bhubaneswar, Faculty, Students and their parents.  Students from diverse backgrounds and pan India locations enrolled in this 2 years residential, AICTE approved, Post Graduate Management programme.

Prof. Ramesh Behl, Director, IMI-Bhubaneswar,in his inaugural address extended a warm welcome to all the students of the new batch. He spoke about positive attitude and ethical understanding, which makes a person different in the society. He emphasised that in modern day, networking with the help of technological tools has been playing an important role in every body’s life and; one has to explore all possibilities for making oneself acceptable in the desired sphere and has to work accordingly. He stressed on the need of acquiring multifunctional skills and ability to adapt in diversified culture to compete at international level to excel as a managerial professional.  He highlighted IMI’s contribution in developing entrepreneurial skills amongst the student.  He also talked about the institute’s regular feature of organizing “Business Thought Leadership” series where industry leaders come and share their experiences with the students. It helps to make students industry ready.

During the course of next few days, the inaugural programme will be followed by introduction of various managerial skills, mantras, social enterprises & industrial visits and talks by corporate leaders from NALCO, MSMEDevelopmentInstitute, Britannia IndustriesLtd., Nilachal Leasing, Vedanta Limited, and OPTCL.  In addition various bureaucrats would also be interacting with the students. All faculty members of the Institute will deliver talks on the refresher courses in various management areas.
